Development of 'Rust on a Glass' concept

I've had courses about game, world and character design at coursera. I've tried to develop world of the 'Rust on a Glass' game in fast concepts.

‘Rust on a Glass’ – a concept for a game that is settled in a post-apocalyptic sci-fi world. It is future, but future after a series of wars and technological disasters so current world is just disconnected fragments of past self. The game will highlight only a few different centers of remaining civilization. Kyon and Null are main characters.
Locations
• slums (where protagonists start the game)
• utopian City of Lights
• mid-ground
• Rat tunnels
• waste-ground
• garden (in fact it is the remains of previous civilizations where scavengers are gathering things).
Slums, City of Lights, mid-ground and rat tunnels together is The Fallen City.

Kyon is one of the two protagonists of the game. He lives in slums. Нe has been working as scavenger since he was 8. Kyon starts as scavenger with his routine work that allow player to get accustomed to the world.

I've tried different proportions to create stylized character.

Tried to change proportions a bit so them could look more like an original sketch. Then tried to design different story-related designs (but clothe to the original one)

On the right side of the picture you could see creatures from the waste-ground. These creatures are human-like but have modified proportions. I used veiled statues as a reference for the women in red, to the right of her stands her minion.

The creatures on the right side of the picture are also almost faceless, minion has only a mask and the woman covered in a veil.
